Looking back at your notes from this week’s teaching on Kill Sin, was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you?

1.  Why is it important to remember who we are in Christ when discussing the importance of killing sin?  Holy Spirit?

 2.  We discussed 4 excusses professing christians often use for not killing the sin in their lives.  Which one do you use the most and why?  (Remember MC's should be a place to bare your heart, hear truth, and move forward in grace)

3.  Read Colossians 3:1-17.  What are we to kill?  Why?  What are we to clothe ourselves in? Why?  

4.  We discussed the fruit and the root of sin.  Removing the fruit is not killing the sin...we must through the power of the Holy Spirit kill the root.  What is the fruit and the root of sin in your life?(Remember Pastor Eric's example of his frustration with social media.  The fruit of sin was anger and frustration...the root was his need for man's approval)

 5.  What are ways we can help you as a church family to kill sin in your life.
