Redeemed In Christ

February 18, 2018 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: In Christ Alone: The Life and Church Christ Builds

Passage: Ephesians 1:7–10

MISSIONAL COMMUNITY QUESTIONS

1. Pray and re-read Ephesians 1:1-10 (If possible listen to the sermons again).
Other scriptures to read for reference: Rom. 3:21-26, 8:14-17, Col. 1:11-14, Heb. 9:11-14

2. In looking over your notes from any of the sermons in Ephesians (chosen, predestined, adopted, redeemed), what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged or confused you? Any questions?

 3. Why is it so important that we constantly remind ourselves and each other of our purchased identity? Why is this especially important as we move to discussions of obedience?

 4. Why is it so difficult to remember our true identity in Christ? What are the major sources of distorting this view? How can and should you go about ridding yourself of these distractions?

5. Church family is extremely important and emphasized much in the New Testament. One reason for that is because this is one of the primary places we are able to express and share our spiritual gifts and blessings. What specific spiritual blessings have you seen poured out on you or others in Christian community? How has this helped you realize your identity in Christ?

 6.  What one truth from Ephesian 1:1-10 has impacted you most in the understanding of your identity? How has this shaped your worship?
