Jesus the Reformer

October 20, 2019 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Here I Stand

Passage: Revelation 3:14–22

1. Re-read Revelation 3:14-22. If possible, listen to the sermon again.
2. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon (or the past few weeks in 2 Timothy) what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?
3. If one can look like a Christian in so many ways (i.e. Bible reading, church attendance, prying, etc.) and still be lukewarm then how do you determine if you are a lukewarm "Christian"?
4. What must someone believe in order to be a true follower of Jesus? Answer using scripture.
5. In what areas or your own life specifically are you lukewarm? What caused the drift? How can we as a church family call you to fight that drift?
6. Are you genuinely excited about the truth of the gospel? Why or why not? If yes, how does that show itself to be true in your daily life?
7. Read 1 Peter 4:12-19. Explain and dissect these passages. How does this apply to the text from Revelation?
8. Just for 'fun.' As you find yourself being tempted to justify your own lukewarmness or to make excuses as to how this does not apply to you...read Malachi...all of it.
