Sola Christus

November 17, 2019 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Here I Stand

Passage: Acts 4

  1. Re-read Acts 4. If possible, listen to the sermon again.

  1. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon (or the past few weeks in 2 Timothy) what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?

  1. Have you ever believed or struggled with believing religious pluralism (all religions lead to God)? If so, what appealed to you or made it believable? How were you able to be convinced of the exclusivity of Christ?

  1. Find other scriptures, Acts 4 and John 14:6 were mentioned in the sermon, that point specifically and solely to Christ as the only way to be reconciled to God?

  1. "I believe in Jesus, the man. But what makes him so special?" How would you respond to a sentiment such as this?

  1. C. S. Lewis famously said that "Jesus is either a liar, lunatic, or Lord." Research this claim and be ready to discuss with the group. Is there any gray area to this?
