A Psalm of Thanksgiving

December 1, 2019 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Advent 2019: Christmas Psalms

Passage: Psalm 100:1–5

  1. Re-read Psalm 100. If possible, listen to the sermon again.

  1. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?

  1. What are some of your favorite Psalms (or passages) on thankfulness, gratitude, and praise? Share with the group and tell why?

  1. I will not ask if because we all have...

But when in the past or the present do you see yourself most struggling with thankfulness? What triggers it? How can we as your family help? What has snapped you out of it?

  1. What are you most thankful for? (List 3-5)

  1. Read 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. If whatever you listed for question 5 were taken away from you how would you respond? If your response would not be 'giving thanks in all circumstances' then how might this cause you to rethink your idols, priorities, and source of joy?
