Exodus 6: Disappointment with God Part II

March 7, 2021 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 6:1–30

1. Re-read Exodus 6. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

2. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon (or the past few weeks in Exodus)what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?

3. Find some specific verses that tell us all to look back upon the things God has done, the promises he has kept, the faithfulness he has displayed? Why are these verses so
abundant?

4. Which promises from God are you having trouble believing right now in your own life? Whyare you struggling? How can we as a church help you further believe God’s truth and not your own efforts and works?

5. Read John 6:60-70. “Lord, to whom shall we go?”
Where else have you previously looked in the past for reassurance or for stability? How did it turn out? What (if it happened) drove you back to Jesus?

6. “You can cling to your disappointment or cling to Jesus.”--John Koessler
Simple question, to which are you clinging?
GOD’S PROMISES
I will…

● Bring them out Matthew 11:30
● Deliver you Hebrews 2:15
● Redeem you Titus 2:14
● Adopt you Galatians 4:4-7
● Be your God Revelation
● Take you to a new home John 14:3
● Give you a new home 1 Peter 1:4
Read these verses. Dwell on them. Remind yourself that these promises apply to each and every Christian. Remember times when God specifically kept them in your life and share with the group.
