Exodus 13:17-22: Follow the Leader

April 25, 2021 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 13:17–22

  1. Re-read Exodus 13:17-22. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.
  1. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon (or the past few weeks in Exodus) what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?

  1. Think of a time you have either taken a shortcut or tried to take one and it backfired? Share with the group.

  1. Conversely, think of a time when God took you the ‘long way around’. Looking back do you now see why? Share with the group.

  1. On Sunday, we were shown how God leads us from above, relationally, and from in front. How do all of these also perfectly exemplify our current relationship with Jesus?

  1. Describe the difference between intellectual assent to who Jesus is and Biblical belief in him for salvation? How do they overlap? Are you more prone to focus on one over the other? How are both needed?

  1. Simply put, are you a “christian” or a follower of Jesus? Explain.
