Exodus 20:15 Do Not Steal

September 19, 2021 Speaker: Justin Crowe Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 20:15

1. Reread Exodus 20:1-15. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

2. Looking back over this sermon and this sermon series, how has God convicted your heart, stirred your affections for Jesus, drawn you closer to Him? How has the Word challenged, confused, or made you ask questions?

3. Did anything from this text or sermon make you change or rethink your views about money, possessions, or economy?

4. Read Malachi 3:7-10. If this were written now, how would it be applied to the American church? What about Mission Church specifically?

5. In which way is it the hardest to be generous: time, talent, or treasure? Why?

6. How have your views on the command to “not steal” changed this week?

7. As we have looked at each of the 10 Commandments we have worked through the same four major points.

Revelations: What does this reveal about God?

Confrontation: What does this say about us and how does that confront us in our sin?

Incarnation: How does this point us to Christ?

Application: How do we now apply these truths to our lives?

We will ask this every week for the rest of the 10 Commandment series but so far how what are some ways in which God has revealed himself to you, confronted your sin, shown you Jesus, and helped you apply truth to your life?
