Exodus 28-29: The Royal Priest

November 14, 2021 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 28–29

1. Reread Exodus 24. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

2. Looking back over this sermon and this sermon series, how has God convicted your heart, stirred your affections for Jesus, drawn you closer to Him? How has the Word challenged, confused, or made you ask questions?

3. Read 1 Peter 2:9-10. How does this verse encourage and/or convict you now that we have learned that we are called to be priests? What is our main function as modern day priests?

4. We saw in Exodus a few ways in which the priests were set apart. How should we set ourselves apart in todays culture? WHat should be some distinct and distinguishing marks of true believers today?

5. Read Hebrews 4:14-5:10, Hebrews 7. How does these verses resonate differently after Sunday?

6. Why is it so difficult to think of ourselves as priests, set apart, positionally holy in God’s eyes? How can we remind ourselves and each other of this truth? What would it change on a practical level if we were to better remember this truth?
