Passage: 1 Corinthians 7:17–40

Missional Community Questions

1. Reread 1 Corinthians 7:17-40. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

2. Looking back over this sermon and this sermon series, how has God convicted your heart, stirred your affections for Jesus, drawn you closer to Him? How has the Word challenged, confused, or made you ask questions?

3. Did this passage/sermon change your perspective on being single for yourself or for others?

4. What can we do as married couples to better foster relationships with single people in our church? And how can we encourage them in their decision to seek a mate or to not?

5. Without being overly negative, what ‘worldly troubles’ would you warn singles or engaged people about that come along with marriage?

6. What advice of the 5 stood out to you the most? Why?

7. Is there any advice to singles that I missed that should be added? (This is especially important for those with older kids or with single adults in their MC).
