Passage: 1 Corinthians 10:23– 11:1

Missional Community Questions

1. Reread 1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

2. Looking back over this sermon and this sermon series, how has God convicted your heart, stirred your affections for Jesus, drawn you closer to Him? How has the Word challenged, confused, or made you ask questions?

3. What are some gray areas in ‘Christian liberty’? How do we as true believers navigate these situations with God’s glory in mind?

4. Read Ezekiel 36:23. Be honest. How does it strike you that God only acts in accord with his own glory? How does this effect your day to day thinking and worship?

5. Read Psalm 51:16-17. How do these verses speak specifically to the battle between legalism and liberty in a Christian life?

6. “It is not four Israels sake that God chose them. It is is not for ours either. Our sin only elicits one response from God…wrath. But he loves us because he is love. He saves us because he is Savior.” -Paul Washer
How does this quote point us back to God and his glory alone for our true motivation on how to live? How does this make us worship God even more than if it did depend on us?
