Passage: Mark 5:21–43
Missional Community Questions:
- Reread Mark 5:21-43. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.
- Looking back over this sermon and this sermon series, how has God convicted your heart, stirred your affections for Jesus, drawn you closer to Him? How has the Word challenged, confused, or made you ask questions?
- WEEKLY QUESTION: Who Is This? In what ways were your views of Jesus challenged, changed, or reinforced by this weeks sermon and text? In what ways have your thoughts about Jesus changed as you have matured in your faith?
- Not if, but when…think of a time you have felt truly desperate. How did you see God show up? Think of any details that could only be described as God showing his authority and power?
- Have you ever encountered the Almighty God in a way that made you ‘tremble’? What was the experience and how did you respond?
- Which of these four purposes most resonated with you and why?
- Jesus cares for the broken and desperate. He is not scared by your past or present “stuff”.
- Jesus cleans the unclean. Instead of your uncleanness making Him unclean, his touch actually makes you clean.
- Jesus calls us all to a deeper, lasting faith.
- Jesus has authority over sickness and death.
- Has anything ever made you run FROM Jesus? If so, what was it that brought you back TO him?
