Exodus 9-10: Distinct

March 28, 2021 Speaker: Eric Baker Series: Exodus

Passage: Exodus 9–10

  1. Re-read Exodus 9-10. If possible, listen to the sermon(s) again.

  2. Looking back over your notes from this weeks sermon (or the past few weeks in Exodus) what was the most important truth from God's Word? Was there anything that particularly caught your attention, challenged you, or confused you? Any questions?

  3. As God pours out these plagues we see them serve to show God as distinct as well as God’s people. This distinctions shows that the same action taken by God can be both judgment for some and miraculous for others. What are some other examples of this even today? How does this still show us that God is distinct above all other gods this world has to offer?

  4. Read Isaiah 42:8. How does this specific scripture inform us in how to navigate the other three ‘gods’ of relationship, wealth, and power?

  5. The distinctives discussed on Sunday stated that as Christians we:

    1. Worship One God, the God of the Bible

    2. Follow the Word of God

    3. Are living sacrifices in all of life

    4. Love God by serving him and others

  6. “You become like what you worship.” Simple question, are you distinct?
